About the event
This 4-hour hands-on workshop, "Foundations of the Home Apothecary," teaches participants how to safely source, prepare, and store everyday herbal remedies. Students will explore plant profiles, taste medicinal teas, and create two take-home preparations.

Module 1: Introduction to the Home Apothecary (9:00 AM – 9:50 AM)
The Essentials: Learn what a home apothecary is and the core equipment you need (jars, strainers, amber bottles).
Sourcing Herbs: Discuss wildcrafting ethics and finding high-quality dried herbs through trusted vendors like Mountain Rose Herbs or Monterey Bay Spice Company.
Materia Medica (Plant Profiles): Deep dive into 3-4 foundational herbs:
